Our Story
We are Jenny & Toril, the founders of Learn Coaching. We met through our shared love for coaching, and share a great passion for development and excellence. Throughout the years we have had numerous conversations about how learning actually happens, and what it takes for change to occur. We have shared experiences, and what we have learned from out interactions with clients. Together we have explored challenges and managed to take learning from our failures.
We have continuously updated each other on the latest relevant research, and challenged each other to see new perspectives.
We have worked to develop, to deliver, to learn and to grow. We have both served as faculty for other coaching schools, and taught coaching within organizations. Together we have more than 40 years of experience with development, and have coached thousands of leaders. In partnership we have served clients on 3 continents and delivered numerous exciting projects. When needing extra manpower in our consulting businesses, we have been each others preferred partners, knowing that the other always represents excellence. We are still learning, and we promise to stop teaching the day we stop learning,
Courage to create change
We love engaging with other skilled coaches, and we are grateful for the community and the arena to learn provided by the International Coaching Federation. ICF has played a vital role in establishing ethical and professional standards for the coaching profession. Representing the Norwegian and Swedish chapter we have worked together for ICF on several projects. Our dream of creating a coaching school that never compromises on quality, was born as we were hosting the 2014 ICF conference in Malmø: Courage to Create Change - Coaching for a Sustainable Future.
Our strong commitment to high quality, sustainable businesses and fulfilled lives led us to develop the next generation of coach training. Taking a holistic and systemic approach, we have based this education on insights of how learning and development happens. It is fairly easy to be an ok coach - developing to be a great coach requires extensive practice and hard work. We have integrated our vast experience from coaching in organisations when writing the LEARN Coaching curriculum.
Our corporate clients voice a huge demand for effective coach training. Leaders that practice coaching skills empower and develop their people. Skilled coaches in leadership increase curiosity and foster innovation throughout the organization. We experience that the corporate world crave the very best in coach training, and we are happy to make high end training and certification available on internal programs. This has been one of our strongest motivations to establish this coaching school.
